NHS: Meeting Illustrations and visual notes for the Mental Health Workforce

In March I travelled to Birmingham to create some meeting illustrations for an NHS conference about the mental health workforce.

This was one of the final events I attended before the UK went into full COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. There was a lot of elbow-tapping (instead of shaking hands), hand-washing and industrial sized hand sanitiser on display.

Digital Scribing

Aston Villa football club has lots of different rooms, and this event had various workshops and talks taking place all over the building. Digitally scribing with my ipad, I was able to go from room to room live doodling the key information as the day went on.

Displaying Live Illustrations on an HD Screen

During the breaks, the meeting illustrations created were displayed on large screens throughout the venue as a slideshow, allowing everyone to see what had been discussed.

As a graphic scribe, it’s great to see event attendees engaging with the illustrations and discussing the topics of the meetings and workshops.

Get in touch if you’d like a quote for illustrated notes at your event. During summer 2020 I am scribing virtually, from my home studio.

I can attend virtual events, webinars and conferences via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, BlueJeans, whichever online video meeting software your organisation is using.
