Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes - often, we can!
If your event’s coming up quickly, share the details and I’ll let you know what’s possible. Because Illustrated Live works in two ways: directly with me, or through a wider trusted network. We’re usually able to accommodate shorter timelines.
The sooner you send the brief, the better. But don’t panic. We’ll look at it calmly and give you a clear answer.
-
It depends on the shape of your event.
Pricing varies based on format (in-person or online), duration, location, complexity and who’s delivering the work. When you submit a brief, sharing your budget range helps ensure we match you with the right illustrator from the start.
You’ll always receive clear pricing before making any decisions. No surprises or awkward chats.
Live illustration services typically cost between £500 and £3,000 for events, with hourly rates often ranging from £250 to £600, usually with a 3-4 hour minimum booking. Prices vary based on duration, complexity, and travel, with half-day packages (3 hours) starting around £1500 and full-day (6+ hours) from £2,000.
Prices vary depending on experience level of the illustrator and what your goals are during and after your event. -
We do both online and on site.
We regularly illustrate at in-person conferences, workshops and strategy sessions, as well as fully virtual and hybrid events.Whether it’s a packed auditorium or a Zoom room, the goal is the same: make ideas clearer and conversations more engaging, while-you-watch.
DOWN WITH BORING STUFF! -
Absolutely.
There's a flock of us, and we would love to help.
If your event spans multiple rooms, breakout sessions or locations, we can coordinate more than one illustrator. The network allows us to scale thoughtfully while keeping quality and communication consistent. You’ll still have a single, calm point of contact. Just with more drawing happening behind the scenes.
-
First, we give it a good read.
Then:
If you’ve requested to work directly with me, I’ll check availability and respond with a quote.
If you’re open to the network, your brief is shared with a curated group of professional illustrators.
You’ll receive thoughtfully matched options, clear pricing and next steps - usually within a couple of working days.
There’s no obligation to book. Just useful information to help you decide.
-
No.
Submitting a brief is free and there’s no pressure to commit. The aim is to make it easier to find the right illustrator - not to funnel you into anything.
You’re in control throughout.
-
If you’d prefer to work directly with me, I’ll always check my diary first.
If I’m not available, you can choose whether you’d like your brief shared with the network instead. Many clients discover that having access to multiple styles, locations and price points is actually a major advantage.
(And thank you, I’m flattered.)
-
Yep, no problem. Let us know when you request a quote and we'll respect the top-secret NDA vibes.
We’re used to working with confidential material and happy to review agreements before proceeding.
