Pixels over paper: How remote graphic recording offers you way more than pen and paper in person!
Live event illustration, graphic recording, live scribing, visual note taking…
Whatever you like to call it, it comes with two VERY COMMON questions from potential clients which we’re here to sort out good and proper!
[rolls up sleeves, claps hands together and wiggles eyebrows…or whatever else people do when they’re about to launch into something important]
The questions we’re always asked
- [asked with starry eyes and big dreams] - “Ooooh, will there be a massive mural on stage and we get to see it all happening in real time and go oooooh-aaaaah?” - Answer: It CAN be like that, yes! - Then this is followed almost immediately by…
- [suddenly feeling worried] - “Oh wait, won’t that be MASSIVELY distracting?!” - Answer: Well… yes! 😅It *can* be.
Now, don’t get us wrong. It’s not incorrect to have live illustration front and centre, happening right before your very eyeballs with an in-the-room ACTUAL human. For some events, this will work! But that’s not quite what we offer here.
We specialise in digital live illustration and we work remotely! And believe it or not, there are faaar more options open to you as a client if you opt for live illustration in this format - including all the perks you’d usually expect from traditional methods, just elevated!
Trust us, we’ve done both the in-person stuff and the remote stuff in the past, which is why we know digital is the way to go!
🎤 Tell me whhhyyy-eeeee?
Alright, alright. So the digital and remote stuff is better... Need some convincing? Allow us to introduce you to the bullet points of eternal persuasiveness!
- Distraction ditched!
YOU get to control your audience’s experience and their exposure to the live illustrations happening behind the scenes. Want the illustrations on display at all times? Tick! Only want to show them during breaks? Tick! Want to keep us a total secret until the end? Tick! With a digital scribe, you get to pick our visibility level!
- Bloopers be gone!
Listen, we shouldn’t say this BUT, bloopers do happen. The occasional typo, the occasional request for amendments after the event, the occasional exploding pen (yep, really). Edits are far easier when working digitally, and there are no ink splats!
- Speeeeeeed bebe!
It’s soooo instant when you’re working through the power of a screen. Your illustrations are ready immediately, whereas with more traditional methods, there’s the hassle of getting the artwork safely back to your office, then there’s the process of digitising it if you need non-physical copies too.
- Repurposing
With speed in mind, repurposing your live illustrations after the event is so much quicker, too! You can immediately pop things onto your digital signage, your Intranet, your social media pages AND still get them printed if you want!
In a nutshell, you get more options for less FAFF!
Have a cheeky click on the video below to hear it straight from Katie why digital works best for all of your event needs, no matter what!
And if this has opened your eyes to some new and exciting possibilities for your next event, we’d love to have a chinwag with you about it!
