2023 Trends in Graphic Recording and live illustration: ✨Latest Work✨

2023 Trends in Live Events

This year I’ve noticed that more and more events are going properly in-person, with no hybrid online element. After years of lockdowns and being unable to leave the house, event-havers are like NO ONLINE. NO SCREENS. BE THERE (in the room) OR BE SQUARE.

I’ll miss living on Zoom but there is a tiny slice of me that’s excited to get back to in person events - the ‘Divin’ Worry Mams’ event I share further down this blog post was fantastic and I can see that being in there really did make the whole thing more engaging and valuable.

Later on this week I’ll be back in London live illustrating and graphic recording for Meta / Facebook.

Anyway, here’s some recent work for exciting clients including:

An Explainer Video for Netflix

explainer video for Netflix - just a sneak peek as I'm not allowed to share the whole thing

Netflix provided a voiceover, and I set to work illustrating and animating to go along with the words. This was great fun to work on!

Event Illustration for a Privacy Ads Summit by Google

These illustrations were created ahead of time to give attendees something concrete to take away and guide their next steps.

An Illustrated Workshop for Birkbeck University / sponsored by The Wellcome Collection

Live illustration for an event held as part of Kate Errington’s PhD research on navigating mixed messages during pregnancy.

My lovely small team and I are still available for virtual events, creating illustrations ahead of events, and crafting visual posters to get your message across creatively and innovatively.

We’re based in the UK and Europe but if your event is online, we can help you wherever you are!
